‘Lock The Box Reloaded’ Book Fair begins at Lajpat Rai Bhawan

Chandigarh, November 5, 2022: The ‘Lock The Box’ book fair by Bookchor, the online bookstore for pre-owned books, started at Lajpat Rai Bhawan, Madhya Marg, Near Petrol Pump, Sector 15B, here on Friday. 

The fair will continue till December 4. More than a million books are on display at the event, a one-of-a-kind book sale in which books are provided in a box, where you can fit as many books as you wish. 

Vidyut Sharma, Founder, Bookchor, said, “We got a roaring response on the opening day in Chandigarh. We have organized similar book sale in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, and Indore before coming to the City Beautiful. We will replenish the books on daily basis.” 

The books are available from across genres such as fiction, non-fiction, crime, romance, young adults, children, adventure, science fiction, and much more. Book lovers can choose from three different sizes of boxes named after Greek mythology heroes- The Odysseus box, Perseus Box, and Hercules box. Readers can add as many books as possible of their choice in the box with only the condition that the box should close flat. 

Bookchor.com is a 6-year-old startup founded with an aim of inculcating reading habits among Indian youth by providing books at the most affordable prices. LockTheBox was started in 2018 in Delhi, and this is the 3rd edition of LockTheBox in Chandigarh
