Leeford Healthcare Limited Organizes Osteoporosis, Bone Health and Mobility Awareness Camp for Women in Ludhiana as part of its CSR Initiative
Doctors highlight that orthopedic and mobility aids, combined with timely diagnosis, nutrition, and exercise, are vital for women’s bone strength and independence of movement post-menopause
Ludhiana, October 30, 2025: Reaffirming its commitment to preventive healthcare and holistic well-being, Leeford Healthcare Ltd, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, organised an osteoporosis and bone health awareness camp for women in Ludhiana. The initiative, held in collaboration with Vedant Gurukul and Vishwaguru Bharat Mission, focused on empowering women aged 45–65 years with knowledge on management of osteoporosis and overall bone and joint health, as well as the essential role of orthopedic and mobility aids in the post-menopausal phase.
Experts at the event noted that post-menopausal women are increasingly prone to osteoporosis, joint stiffness, and loss of bone density, often leading to chronic pain and reduced movement. They emphasized that orthopedic and mobility aids, combined with proper nutrition, timely diagnosis, medical guidance, and physical activity, form a comprehensive approach to preserving bone strength, improving balance, and maintaining confidence and independence.
Over 150 women participated in the camp, engaging in interactive health sessions led by Dr. Harpal Singh, Professor and Unit Head, Orthopedic Surgery, Dayanand Medical College & Hospital (DMCH), Ludhiana, and Dr. Gitanjali Kaur (MD), Gynaecologist, PAL Hospital, Ludhiana.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Harpal Singh said, “Osteoporosis and musculoskeletal issues are among the most common yet under-managed health concerns in post-menopausal women. Along with nutrition and exercise, orthopedic and mobility aids are key means to sustaining strength, stability, and overall quality of life.”
Commenting on the initiative, Sutikshan Kumar, Head of Human Resources, Leeford Healthcare Ltd, said, “At Leeford Healthcare, we view orthopedic and mobility wellness as an essential part of preventive healthcare. Through this CSR initiative, our aim is to combine awareness, accessibility, and practical solutions that help women lead healthier, more active lives, thereby making a meaningful societal impact. Bone health cannot be addressed in isolation — it requires consistent attention to lifestyle, movement, and care.”
Kunwar Ranjan and Acharya Dr. Lokesh Sharma from the organizing institutions emphasized that women’s health must be seen as a foundation of family and community well-being. They shared that the camp was designed to not only spread awareness about post-menopausal bone and joint health but also to encourage women to adopt self-care and regular orthopedic support as part of a balanced lifestyle.
Ghanshyam Tomer, Head of Corporate Training and Product Development, Leeford Healthcare Ltd, highlighted that Leeford’s orthopedic and mobility aids portfolio reflects the company’s growing commitment to holistic health — bridging innovation, accessibility, and preventive care to support India’s aging population.
As part of the CSR initiative focused on creating societal impact around an under-appreciated yet crucial issue, free healthcare consultations were provided and free medicines were distributed to participants, reaffirming Leeford Healthcare’s dedication to community well-being and preventive health awareness.
Anchored by television presenter Kamlesh Gupta, the session received an enthusiastic response from participants and healthcare experts, marking a step forward in strengthening awareness around women’s bone, joint, and mobility health in Punjab.
