Lecture on the topic "The XIV Dalai Lama: A Modern Educational Philosopher"
The H.H Dalai Lama Chair, Panjab University, organised a special lecture by renowned Buddhist scholar Dr Latika Gupta, who is a Professor in the Department of Education, Delhi University. Dr Gupta was granted the Dalai Lama Fellowship by the Foundation for Universal Responsibility in 2022 for researching the educational philosophical ideas of His Holiness.

Chandigarh, September 26, 2025: The H.H Dalai Lama Chair, Panjab University, organised a special lecture by renowned Buddhist scholar Dr Latika Gupta, who is a Professor in the Department of Education, Delhi University. Dr Gupta was granted the Dalai Lama Fellowship by the Foundation for Universal Responsibility in 2022 for researching the educational philosophical ideas of His Holiness.
The title of Dr Gupta's lecture was "The XIV Dalai Lama: A Modern Educational Philosopher." Dr Gupta expounded Dalai Lama principles of peace, harmony, compassion, and universal responsibility for building pathways towards the construct of a more humane educational framework.
The Guest of Honour for the event was the famous cultural historian Professor (retd.) I.D. Gaur of Panjab University. The session was ably chaired by Professor Sativendarpal Kaur, Chairperson, Department of Education, Panjab University.
The event was conceived and organised under the leadership of the coordinator of H.H the Dalai Lama Chair, Panjab University, Professor Paru Bal Sidhu. The event was well attended and appreciated by students, research scholars, and faculty members.
