KMV's 'Talent Fiesta' 2026 celebrates student creativity and art

Jalandhar, September 10, 2026: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organized the 'Talent Fiesta' 2026 event to bring out the hidden artistic talents of young scholars. 
The fest featured a wide range of competitions spanning drama, music, dance, literature, and other creative categories. Students across all streams enthusiastically demonstrated their skills in group dance and choreography, alongside individual single performances in modeling, solo dance, fancy dress, photography, and debate. 
Congratulating the winners across all categories, Director Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi emphasised the importance of events that extend learning beyond the classroom and offer a platform for students to explore and showcase their gifts. Reaffirming the institution’s commitment to continuous holistic education and skill development for each student's personality, she extended her congratulations to ECA Dean Dr. Harpreet and ECA members Dr. Poonam Sharma, Dr. Anushobha, and Ms. Geetika for successfully coordinating the grand event.     
The event saw impressive participation and outstanding achievements across numerous competitions. In the Modeling segment, Harjot was crowned Miss Fresher, with Pratibha and Sneh securing the first and second runner-up positions, while Jasmine Deep Kaur, Aashna, and Tanishq won Miss Charming, Miss Gorgeous, and Miss Endearing respectively. In Photography, Riya [BA JMC Sem-1] achieved first place, followed by Ankita Jain [MA Fine Arts] in second, and Bhumi Chadha [MA Sem-1] in third. The Debate competition saw Ritu [MA English Sem-1] take first place among college students, with Elahijot Kaur [M.Sc. FYIP Physics Sem-1] coming second, while Nishita and Vaheenur [+1 Non-Medical] claimed first and second in the school category. For Elocution, Ankita [MA English Sem-1] achieved top honors, alongside school category winners Kritika [+1 Non-Medical] in first, Raraijot Kaur [+1 Medical] in second, and Janvi [+1 Medical] in third. The Poetry Recitation competition was won by Shivangi [B.Sc. Medical Sem-1] in first place and Elahijot Kaur in second, with Ishita, Ramneet, and Paramjot taking top honors in the school division. In creative arts and culinary skills, Isha Jawad [B.Voc Beauty & Wellness Sem-1] bagged first position in Mehendi, followed by Sukhpreet Kaur [BCA Sem-1] in second, Ritik in third, and Karamveer receiving a consolation prize. The Music competition concluded with Komal [BA Sem-1] in first, Sunakshi [M.Sc. Math Sem-1] in second, Akshita [M.Sc. FYIP Physics Sem-1] in third, and Gursimran earning a consolation prize. Kirandeep [Retail Management] claimed first place in Starter Making, while Anamika Nishad & Simardeep Kaur secured second, and Anamika & Chahat Bhardwaj placed third. Harjot and Sahjot Kaur [+1 Medical] took first place in Rangoli, with Avleen Kaur & Harshdeep [+1 Commerce] coming second, and Ravjot Kaur [+1 Medical] in third. In Embroidery, Sukhmeet Kaur [BCA Sem-1] won the undergraduate category and Navpreet Kaur [M.Sc. FD] won the postgraduate category. Fine Arts featured top performances including Ankita Jain winning Poster Making, Khushboo winning Landscape, Tarushi & Taranpreet Kaur winning Cartooning, Tarushi winning Collage Making, and Jasleen Kaur winning Clay Modeling. Lastly, in the Fancy Dress competition, Ritika and Harpreet jointly secured first place, Navdeep and Yuvika took second, Geet claimed third, and Nidhi, Jasmeet, and Mehak were awarded consolation prizes.
