KMV successfully organises third day of five-day International Faculty Development Program on Building Writing Skills

Jalandhar, December 21, 2022: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) successfully organised the third day of the International five-day Faculty Development Program on Building Writing Skills. Dr. Naeema Hann, Senior Consultant, Leeds Beckett University, U.K., addressing the program explained in detail the importance of proper usage of grammar along with proper vocabulary of language in any writing. Describing grammar as the basis in conveying any idea positively to the readers, she also threw light on the things to be kept in mind while writing in the present tense. Apart from this, while talking about the importance and method of presenting the opening lines to introduce the subject in any writing, she explained in detail the need for literature review in any writing. Along with this, while describing creative writing as the presentation of human thoughts, she also pointed towards the mutual coordination of words, emphasising on the proper selection of language and words according to the subject. During this faculty development program based on theoretical modules, practical training and task assignments, the participants also shared their creative writings in the form of poems and stories with each other. 
Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, while expressing her gratitude to Dr. Naeema for providing important information on the subject. She lauded the efforts of Dr Madhumeet, Head, PG Department of English, Dr Shalini Gulati and Dr Reena Sharma for successfully organising the program.
