KMV successfully concludes 5-Day International Faculty Development Program on Building Writing Skills 

Jalandhar, December 23, 2022: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) successfully concluded the five-day International Faculty Development Program on Building Writing Skills. The faculty development program was organised by PG Department of English. The  valedictory session of the event was attended by more than 400 participants from various educational institutions across the country. 

Principal Prof.  Atima Sharma Dwivedi stressed on the need of upgradation in the field of teaching in the current era and described this program as very effective in this direction. She averred that during this faculty development program, theoretical modules, practical training and task assignments were assigned to the participants so as to provide them with knowledge according to different types of writing. Dr. Naeema Hann, Senior Consultant, Leeds Beckett University, U.K., addressing the program explained in detail the importance of proper usage of grammar along with proper vocabulary of language in any writing. She shed light on the proper usage of tense in the language and also shared various online resources such  as SAGE open, British Council Learn English and International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL) from where the participants can acquire more knowledge and information about language learning. Dr. Hann was also very much appreciative of KMV for organising these kind of brilliant programs in order to facilitate the process of knowledge exchange. During this faculty development program, the participants also shared their creative writings in the form of poems and stories with each other. The participants also shared their valuable feedback for the program and also asked their various queries from Dr Hann. During the valedictory session, participants were also given certificates for their participation in this five day Faculty Development Program. 

Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, while expressing her gratitude to Dr. Naeema for providing important information on the subject, also appreciated the participants for their active participation in this program. She averred that KMV from time to time keeps on organising such kind of international programs for the multiple exposure and holistic development of its faculty members. 

Principal lauded the efforts of Dr Madhumeet, Head, PG Department of English, Dr Shalini Gulati and the whole organising committee for successfully organising the program.
