KMV successfully concludes 2- Day National Conference in collaboration with Commission for Scientific and Technical Terminology, GoI on Implementation of NEP- 2020 and Role of Scientific & Technical Terminology 

Acclaimed scholars from all over India appreciate the initiatives of KMV to provide New Age Progressive Education in sync with New Education Policy

KMV successfully concludes 2- Day National Conference in collaboration with Commission for Scientific and Technical Terminology, GoI on Implementation of NEP- 2020 and Role of Scientific & Technical Terminology 

Jalandhar, November 30, 2022: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) successfully concluded a Two- Day National Conference on Implementation of NEP- 2020 and Role of Scientific & Technical Terminology in collaboration with Commission for Scientific and Technical Terminology, Ministry of Education, Government of India, New Delhi. 

Acclaimed scholars along with the delegates and paper presenters from different states of India participated in this conference. The second day of this conference commenced with the third Technical Session. The first speaker of the day was Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, Principal, KMV. The topic of her talk was New Education Policy in KMV: A Case Study. 

During her address, Prof. Dwivedi talked about the pioneer initiatives that has been introduced by KMV in sync with the New Education Policy. She highlighted the initiatives such as Introduction of Credit System in all Post Graduate courses & Interdisciplinary Programmes introduced at KMV for the overall development of the students. She also laid much emphasis on Skill based education provided at KMV and averred that KMV is the first college in Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar to be granted with DDU Kaushal Kendra by Government of India. She further maintained that the reforms and new initiatives mentioned in the New Education Policy has already been implemented in KMV much before, be it l the introduction of Value Added Courses, stating Programme Outcomes & Course Outcomes, introducing multiple exit points in a degree & providing professional skills in the curriculum of the course in order to work towards the holistic development of the students etc. 

Prof. Dwivedi also shed light on various examination reforms introduced at KMV in order to make examination system more student friendly. The second speaker of the session was Prof. Lalitsen Sharma, University of Jammu. The topic of his talk was Study on balance between the context and accuracy of translated Computer Technical Terminology. He talked extensively about issues in translating scientific and technical terminology. He concluded by saying the context should be given priority while translating the technical terminology. The fourth technical session started with the paper presentation of different participants on New Education Policy and its various aspects. After the paper presentation, Valedictory session of the conference commenced in which Dhruv Mittal, Treasurer, KMV Managing Committee was the Chief Guest. During the valedictory session, all the participants and delegates were provided with the certificates by the esteemed guests. It is pertinent to mention that this two-day national conference witnessed the august presence of acclaimed luminaries namely Prof. GN Jha, Chairman, Commission for Scientific and Technical Terminology, Er JS Rawat, Assistant Director, & Officer in Charge of Conference, Prof. Brajesh Kumar Pandey, JNU, New Delhi, Major Gen. (Dr.) GG Dwivedi, Aligarh Muslim University, Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, Principal, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous). Prof. Amita Pandey Bharadwaj, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University, New Delhi, Dr CP. Pokharna, SRKP Government College, Kishangarh, Rajasthan, Prof. Lalitsen Sharma, University of Jammu, Dr Shubhnandan Singh Jamwal, University of Jammu, Dr Ashutosh Angiras, SD College, Ambala Cantt, Dr Kunwar Rajeev, DAV College, Jalandhar & Dr Vinod Kumar, LPU. All these scholars were highly appreciative of academic reforms down at KMV and lauded the initiatives introduced by KMV in providing New Age Progressive Education to the students. 

Principal lauded the efforts of the whole organizing committee and hoped that this conference will spread awareness about the New Education Policy in the education sector.
