KMV Organises EcoEcho Fest 2026 to Drive Youth Engagement and Leadership

Jalandhar, August 25, 2026: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) PG Department of Economics organised EcoEcho Fest with great enthusiasm and participation. The event was designed to provide students with a creative platform to express their ideas, concerns, aspirations, and perspectives on contemporary economic and social issues through choreography and declamation. 
The first segment of the programme featured declamation, based on the theme “If I will get an opportunity to serve as the Prime Minister / Education Minister / Finance Minister or any other Minister: My Vision and Actions for Transforming India.” Students presented their visions for a stronger and more progressive India, highlighting innovative ideas, practical solutions, and policy measures related to education, employment, economic development, youth empowerment, technology, and nation-building. The participants demonstrated confidence, originality, and a sound understanding of contemporary issues. The second segment showcased choreography, through which students addressed important issues in a creative and impactful manner. One of the performances focused on “Examination Paper Leaks: A Silent Burden on Academic and Emotional Well-being,” highlighting the stress, disappointment, insecurity, and loss of trust experienced by students because of examination paper leaks. 
The performance conveyed a strong message about the importance of fairness, transparency, and accountability in the examination system. Another choreography on “Artificial Intelligence: A Catalyst for Growth or a Challenge for Humanity” presented the evolving role of AI in education. The performance depicted an AI teacher conducting a class efficiently but failing to understand the emotions, personal difficulties, and concerns of the students. A human teacher then entered the classroom, understood the students’ problems with empathy and compassion, and provided the emotional support that technology could not offer. The performance concluded with the AI and human teacher coordinating with each other, conveying the message that AI can support and complement human teachers, but human empathy and emotional understanding remain essential to education. Based on the evaluation by the judges, Group 1 (BSc & MSc) and Group 4 (MCom FYIP - III) secured the First Position, Group 2 (MCom FYIP - III) and Group 6 (BBA-III) secured the second position In Declamation Competition, Simerleen (BA-I) and Navreen Kaur (MBA-I) secured the First Position; Harshita (BA-V) and Diksha (B.Sc-V) secured the Second Position. The department congratulated all the winners for their commendable performances. 
Director Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that EcoEcho Fest 2026 was a meaningful and memorable beginning to the departmental journey. The successful organization of the departmental function reflects the commitment of the PG Department of Economics towards holistic education, student engagement, creativity, and responsible citizenship.
