KMV organises a talk on Relevance of Bhagwad Gita in Contemporary World

Jalandhar, April 14, 2023: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) in collaboration with Rotary Club of Jalandhar organised a discourse on “The Relevance of The Bhagavad Gita in Contemporary Times”. The talk was delivered by Acharya Pundrik Goswami Ji, a spiritual and motivational speaker from Vrindavan. Acharya Pundrik Goswami in his discourse stated that people treat Bhagavad Gita as a holy book, where as it is much more than that. It is a manual and guide book which helps us to lead a blissful, contented, meaningful and purposeful life. Quoting from Bhagavad Gita, the speaker expressed that one can relate oneself with Arjuna, as the generation is in dilemma today. Every individual in life needs a Sarthi like Lord Krishna today, who can guide out of such delusions and re-establishes us in our original position of eternity, knowledge and bliss. Quoting an Urdu couplet, the orator laid emphasis on to become a good human being than being a successful person first. The eloquent speaker mesmerised the audience by his power packed speech by giving examples from daily life experiences, which every individual can relate to. While answering to the queries of students, the speaker concluded that Bhagavad Gita can help everyone dealing with confusion and distress to achieve stability and happiness in life. He further stated that students should be more open to change, innovation and look forward to explore different opportunities. 


Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi while appreciating and in agreement with Acharya Pundrik Goswami Ji’s Philosophy averred that such lectures motivate the students dealing with information explosion over the internet. She further maintained that such motivational thoughts will steer them in the right direction, so that they can make wise choices in life resulting in making them better human beings and successful.
