KMV hosts Prof. Hao Lin, Director, International Programs, Rutgers University, USA for forging path for Global Academic Partnership

Jalandhar, June 28, 2025: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) proudly hosted Prof. Hao Lin, Director of International Programs, Rutgers University, USA (Ranked among Top 100 Universities).
The visit marks a significant step towards establishing a global academic partnership aimed at providing KMV students with exceptional international learning and research opportunities. During the visit, Prof. Hao Lin expressed strong interest in collaborating with KMV through innovative academic models. The discussions focused on launching dual degree programs with 4+1 and 3+2 options for students. These programs will allow KMV students to complete part of their studies at KMV and finish with a master’s degree at Rutgers University, with full credit transfer. Both institutions also discussed the introduction of a 1+1 programs in Post Graduate industry driven sectors and a combined curriculum of KMV and Rutgers. To formalise the partnership, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed in coming days and KMV will also launch an Expression of Interest (EOI) portal on its website and will offer offline registration options to guide students interested in studying in the USA. It is worth mentioning that a student of KMV, Ms. Loveleen, is already doing her Research Fellowship at Rutgers at a high pay package under our collaboration. Plans are also underway to initiate more student exchange programs and launch a short-term certificate course at KMV for Rutgers students, focusing on social outreach and community engagement.
