Jalandhar, June 4, 2026: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organised a Faculty Development Program on “Artificial Intelligence Integration in Academics” in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).
The programme aimed to familiarize faculty members with the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in higher education and its potential to transform teaching, learning, research, and academic administration.
The session was conducted by Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi, Director, KMV who served as the Resource Person. In her insightful address, she highlighted the rapid advancements in AI and emphasized the need for educators to embrace technological innovations in the evolving academic landscape.
Prof. Dwivedi discussed the applications of AI across various disciplines and demonstrated how AI-powered tools can enhance teaching, support research, improve assessment methods, and facilitate student engagement. She shared practical examples of AI tools that can assist faculty in lesson planning, content creation, data analysis, and research writing. A major focus of the session was the proactive role of teachers in implementing AI-enabled practices. She encouraged faculty members to take the lead in integrating AI into their respective disciplines, continuously upgrade their digital skills, and guide students in the ethical and responsible use of AI technologies. The interactive session witnessed active participation from faculty members and provided a valuable platform for discussing the opportunities and challenges associated with AI in higher education.
