Justice Bindal inaugurates e-court kiosk in Science City

Move aimed at facilitating people to get status of their case pending in any court through a single click
Kapurthala: In a unique initiative aimed at facilitating the people to get the status of their case pending in any court across the country through a single click, the Chairman of computer Committee of the Punjab and Haryana High Court Mr.Justice Rajesh Bindal on Saturday (March 24) inaugurated e-court kiosk in the Pushpa Gujral Science City here today.
The Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court Mr.Justice Arvind Sagwan, District and Sessions Judge Jalandhar Mr.SK Garg, District and Sessions Judge Kapurthala Mr. R S Rai, Deputy Commissioner Cum Director General Science City Mr. Mohammad Tayyab, Director Science City Mr. Rajesh Grover and Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Sandeep Sharma also graced the occasion.
Divulging the details about this kiosk, the Deputy Commissioner said that it would enable the people to get case status, court orders, cause list, jusdements or any other sort of information in the courts. He said that, the informational Kiosk was set up in Science Explorium Building of Science City. Mr. Tayyab said that any sort of information regarding any case which was pending or decided in any Court, could be obtained with just a single click through this kiosk.
The Deputy Commissioner said that information regarding any case could be gor from the kiosk by just filling up any of the details such as case no, party name, FIR number, or advocate name adding that besides this cause list of every court is also easily available on the Kiosk.
The Deputy Commissioner further said that Local development independent website which are used for District Court are also linked with the Kiosk . He said that this kiosk would be very useful for people visiting the science city daily. He said that the Science City was major attraction of Punjab and people from all ages from across the state visit Science City annually. Therefore, public convenience kiosk was setup in science city. Such facility is witness of advancement of technology in Indian Judiciary.
