When did you realize you  had the passion for acting?
I did not know ever if I wanted to become an actor. It just happened. I was selected for an advertising campaign while sitting at a café and that is how my journey began.
What was your first break in the industry?
My first break was through a print advertisement. I started modelling and then it progressed to my television journey.
What interested you to do Amrit Manthan?
The script, the character and of course the producer Rajan Sir, working with him was amazing.
Recently launched on Azaad, please tell us about your experience shooting for Amrit Manthan?
With Amrit Manthan, I was actually treated like a princess. Rajan Sir took good care of me and so did all the other actors. It helped me grow as an actor a lot, because my character had different shades and I had to play different characters which helped me grow as an actor.
Do you think Amrit Manthan and Naagin made you a star?
Well, all these shows are very close to me. If audiences like the show, it is the audience which makes you a star. So it all depends on the audience if they love your character and the show.
How much has your life changed after doing these two shows?
Amrit Manthan was 8 years ago and as a person, I did change a lot. I am a very different person right now. You grow and evolve as a person every year. These two shows definitely changed me as an actor and as a person.
Are you a natural or method actor?
I think I am a director’s actor. Whatever the director wants me to do, I will do it. I think that is what I am naturally.
Has your career grown as you have expected?
I am thankful and grateful to God and the audiences for helping me get amazing shows that help me grow as an actor and of course my career graph grows as well. I hadn’t expected it to grow that much.
How important is it to develop a personal style when it comes to acting?
I truly believe that every actor should have their own personal style because acting like someone or copying someone doesn’t give you anything. Your own style is what attracts people and that is what is your own individuality and that is what people like about you.
What do you think is most important in your field?
I think in my field it is important to stay connected to the audience, trying different roles, different characters, exploring yourself as an actor and of course staying grounded is what is most important.
What do you do to grow your personal brand?
Do good shows and nowadays social media plays a very important role in your personal branding, so make sure that you do it well.
What do you love about acting?
As an actor you get to be a part of different characters, feel and play different characters. Also you get to work with different actors, you learn from them, some become a part of you for life as friends, different production houses, so you make a lot of relations while you are acting. Also, as an actor you can express yourself, how you want to connect with the audience.
What do you dislike about acting?
Crying is something I really dislike.
What are your interests besides acting?
I love travelling
Which has been your best project to date?
I won’t be partial to anyone's show, every show has given me something special and has helped me grow as an actor and connect me to the audiences. I am thankful to each and every project that I have done till date and in the future.
