Chandigarh, April 22, 2025: Department of Physics Panjab University is organising a three days International Conference on Facility for antiproton and ion research (FAIR) Science from April 23 to 25, 2025.
FAIR is an International particle accelerator facility at GSI, Germany. India is the third major contributing partner of this facility. The main aim of the conference is to educate young students about this facility along with physics research possibilities and also to have a collaboration meeting among the GSI - FAIR scientists and senior physicists of India.
The outreach programme on 23rd and 24th will be attended by about 100 student participants from Panjab University and Colleges from Chandigarh region. The specialised discussions meeting on 25th April, 2025 will be attended by 60 senior physicists from all over India along with the scientists from the GSI – FAIR, Germany Accelerator facility.
