Indian Cycling Festival Inaugurated at Mumbai by FICO President & General Secretary along with Joint Commissioner Police, Mumbai

Ludhiana, November 24, 2017: First Indian Cycling Festival inaugurated by Sh. Harish Baijal IPS Joint Commissioner (Police) Mumbai along with S.Gurmeet Singh Kular President & S.Manjinder Singh Sachdeva General Secretary FICO, at Nehru Centre Mumbai. It was great on the part of Chief Guest Mr.Harish Baijal IPS Joint Commissioner (Police) Mumbai that he drove 25 kilometers on his Bicycle in cycling kit to Inaugurate the Indian Cycling Festival.
INDIA is the 2nd Largest Manufacturers of the world after China & also needs technology transfer to Explore Bicycle Products in the World
Apart from Bicycles & Bicycle Parts, Fitness & Accessories related to Bicycles were also Displayed.
In this exhibition High End bicycles are on display, major bicycling brands like Dolan, Corima, Colnago, Cinelli, Scot Focus, Fuji, BnBRack, Look, Atlas etc. apart from bicycles, high end bicycle parts were also on display from the brands like Sram, Focus, Vittoria etc. and there were some indigenous players like Bamboochi making bicycles out of bamboos first light weight Bicycles in INDIA
We could observe that the safety of the cyclist was the main concern in the exhibition. There were many cyclist’s clubs from Mumbai, Nasik, Pune, Kohlapur, Aurangabad etc. were also present, their prime requirement from a cycle is it should be light weighted with safety features like lights & reflectors fitted over it. A Cycle Award Winner cyclist Mr. Ashok recently lost his life in an accident. So, the cyclist’s clubs were more concerned about the safety of a cyclist. They said as there are roads provided for motor cycles, cars, etc. as there are registrations done for vehicles like cars, bikes etc. There should also be a separate road/ tracks for a cyclist, who helps the country by saving the environment.
This is first time in the history of INDIA that Cycling Festival organized to promote Cycling. This event was an association with FICO.
The November edition of Bicycle Mirror, a well renowned bicycle magazine has been launched on the event.
Shri K. K. Seth Chairman FICO said that there is need to organize this kind of events in other cities of India also.

Sudeep mane from Psynyde, and Mr. Harish Baijal IPS Joint Commissioner Vigilance Mumbai.
