Indian Coastal Flavours begins at Made In India, Radisson Blu Hotel MBD Ludhiana
Ludhiana, October 15, 2014: Made In India, the Indian Speciality Restaurant at Radisson Blu Hotel MBD Ludhiana started a unique food festival by the name of “India Coastal Flavour”. The Food Festival which started today will be on till 25th October, 2014. In this festival the restaurant will be serving the dishes from coastal states of India, a culinary experience that spans three seas- Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean and Bay of Bengal. Restaurant is adorned with costal elements and staff is dressed in coastal dress.
Dishes ranging from soups and starters to desserts from the coastal states will be served. The attraction of the food festival is Peri-Peri Prawns (Spiced , pan seared prawns prepared “potuguese style”), Black Pomfret Reichado (Pomfret marinated in Spicy Goan Reichado paste, pan fried), Meen pollichathu (Sole  fillet smothered in a tangy spice mix of shallots wrapped in banana leaves and shallow fried), Alleppy fish fry (Kingfish ,tawa fried ,kerala backwater style), Chicken Cafreal (Spicy coriander and chilli marinated chicken grilled), Kozhi kurumulagu fry (Chicken cooked with garlic and ginger and ground black peppercorn) and a lot more to choose from.
Vegetarians need not worry as the spread is equally large for them as well and includes Vandaikai poriyal  (Stir fried okra garnish with coconut ), Kadala Gassi (Brown chickpeas cooked with a coconut spice roast from south canara region in Karnataka), Vangyachi Bharit  (Tandoor roadted brinjal tempered with roasted peanuts paste), Lal Bhopla Gaathi (Red pumpkin simmered with spiced coconut milk gravy), Chena Erissery (Yam cooked with onion, tomato and costal spices), Patchakari Kurma (Assorted Vegetables in coconut and yoghurt gravy), Paneer Chettinad (Cottage cheese simmered  in traditional chettinad spices), Urlai Roast (Baby potatoes tossed with onion, and ground spices) to name a few amongst the wide choice of dishes.
Speaking about the festival, General Manager, Radisson Blu Hotel MBD Ludhiana said, “We have endeavoured to bring to the guests of our hotel unique culinary experience by introducing new and interesting food festivals. Ludhianvis can now enjoy the coastal food while sitting in the comfortable environment of their home town.”
