Rohtak, November 5, 2025: In a unique initiative to provide early detection of breast cancer in rural areas of Haryana and Delhi-NCR, as well as other areas where needed, the local Narula Diagnostic Center is operating a Free Mobile Mammography Screening Van.

Dr. Arjun Narula said that this dedicated breast cancer screening van was launched in loving memory of his late mother, Dr. Anita Narula, who lost her life to cancer. The van was launched in collaboration with LPS Bossard to ensure women don't have to travel to a distant hospital outside their village for screening.

Dr. Arjun Narula said that to provide free and accessible breast cancer screening to as many women as possible, the van is equipped with a high-quality, state-of-the-art mammography machine. The Van is delivering high-quality screening at the doorstep of villagers, enabling women to get tested in a familiar and accessible environment.

Dr. Arjun Narula explained that late detection of breast cancer is a common problem in rural areas due to lack of awareness and access. He said that early detection of cancer significantly improves treatment outcomes. He emphasized that women over the age of 35 should undergo mammography to avoid potential risks.

He said that over 5,000 women have been screened through this van, holding approximately 220 camps so far. “Our mission is to take mammography screening to every village. No woman should delay her screening due to distance, hesitation, or cost. This service exists for them, at their doorstep,” he added.

During this campaign, Dr. Arun Narula, Dr. Tashi Narula, and Dr. Isha Narula appealed to women's groups, NGOs, panchayats, social, religious, and educational organizations to support this awareness drive, so that maximum women can benefit from these free screening camps.

Organizations and communities wishing to organize free screening camps in their area may contact the Centre directly.
