Punjab Government integrated 20 services related to Technical Education Department with e-sewa application portal

Jalandhar/Kapurthala, October 29, 2021: Taking another initiative to provide best and accessible facilities to the common man, the Punjab Government has made available 20 different facilities related to the Technical Education Department at the Sewa Kendras. The applications for availing these 20 facilities will now be able to easily apply through the e-Sewa portal by visiting nearest Sewa Kendras. In this regard, a circular has been issued by the department of Government Reforms and Grievances to implement the execution of services from Nov. 01, 2021. A manual to execute the job was also issued to all district Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of Punjab and also to both the technical universities of the state. After this initiative the students will be able to get various documents related to I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) Jalandhar-Kapurthala and Maharaja Ranjit Singh Technical University Bathinda by applying to their nearest Sewa Kendras.
 
IAS officer Jaspreet Singh, Registrar, IKGPTU, who is also the Additional Deputy Commissioner (D), Jalandhar, shared that the documents related to the university like backlog certificate, bonafide certificate, transcripts, Detail Mark Card and attestation of other certificates, duplicate degree, DMCs etc. will be done online at the Sewa Kendras only after paying the government fee fixed by the department. This work is being started from 1st November 2021. He said that while this will save time for the students and their parents to go to different universities, for their work will be done in a transparent manner near the house in the stipulated time on fixed fees.
 
Registrar IAS Jaspreet Singh said that this facility will also be applicable to all ITIs, polytechnics coming under Punjab State Technical Education Board. The university receives the maximum number of applications for getting duplicate documents and transcripts for studies abroad and jobs. Now all these applicants will get all facilities from the Sewa Kendras near to their home.
