IFCT Mohali Hosts Freshers Party; Jasmine declared Ms Fresher  and Tanishq Mr Fresher

The Institute of Fashion and Communication Technology (IFCT), Mohali, hosted a Freshers Party at its Mini Auditorium, welcoming new students from its Fashion Design, Media, Interior Design and Make-up programs. The event was a blend of glamour, creativity, and cultural vibrancy, celebrating the beginning of an exciting journey for the freshers. A fashion show, judged by senior students, concluded with the crowning of Mr. Fresher and Miss Fresher 2025, adding glitz and thrill to the occasion. Jasmine was declared Ms Fresher (IFCT) while Tanishq was adjudged Mr Fresher (IFCT).

Mohali, September 24, 2025: The Institute of Fashion and Communication Technology (IFCT), Mohali, hosted a Freshers Party at its Mini Auditorium, welcoming new students from its Fashion Design, Media, Interior Design and Make-up programs. The event was a blend of glamour, creativity, and cultural vibrancy, celebrating the beginning of an exciting journey for the freshers. A fashion show, judged by senior students, concluded with the crowning of Mr. Fresher and Miss Fresher 2025, adding glitz and thrill to the occasion. Jasmine was declared Ms Fresher (IFCT) while Tanishq was adjudged Mr Fresher (IFCT).

Speaking at the event, Dr. Neha Miglani, Director of IFCT, said: “This Freshers Party reflects the energy and immense creativity our students bring to IFCT. Punjab has tremendous talent, and we are proud to nurture it by offering the right platform, mentorship and guidance. Careers in fashion, interiors, media, and make-up are rapidly shaping the future, and IFCT is committed to empowering students with the skills and confidence to excel.”

At the event the stage came alive with a ramp walk in which Faika, Suhana, Jiya, Lovepreet, Srishti and Tanvi were the female models while Furkan was the male model. What’s more, the Freshers Party witnessed dance and singing performances, and soulful folk presentations, each reflecting the artistic spark of Punjab and Chandigarh’s youth.

Meanwhile, the freshers shared their excitement too. Harsimran Kaur, BSc Fashion Design, said: “It has been a wonderful experience to perform on stage and be part of the fashion show. This event has given me a chance to showcase my talent and gain confidence.”

Faika, BDes Interior Designing (from Kashmir), added: “I am thrilled to be part of IFCT. The freshers party gave me an opportunity to mix with seniors, connect with faculty, and feel truly welcomed into the creative family here.”
