ICSSR-NWRC and UHV Cell Panjab University Conclude AICTE-Approved FDP on Universal Human Values
AICTE Approved Capacity Building Programme-cum-Faculty Development Programme on Universal Human Values-II (UHV-II) concluded at the ICSSR-NWRC premises at Panjab University Campus.
Chandigarh, June 30, 2026: AICTE Approved Capacity Building Programme-cum-Faculty Development Programme on Universal Human Values-II (UHV-II) concluded at the ICSSR-NWRC premises at Panjab University Campus.
The programme was organised by the ICSSR-North Western Regional Centre (ICSSR-NWRC), Chandigarh, in collaboration with the Universal Human Values (UHV) Cell, with the support of the Centre for Industry-Institute Partnership Programme (CIIPP), Department of Youth Welfare, Panjab University and UGC-Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC).
The concluding session was attended by more than 80 delegates from across India, including participants from Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Uttarakhand. More than 60 outstation delegates stayed at PU guest houses for 8 days during this programme.
Addressing the function as the chief guest, PU Dean University Instruction (DUI) Prof. Meenakshi Goyal, elaborated on the importance of harmony and self-exploration in human life.
Sh. Jitender Narula, AICTE Resource Person, emphasised the need for value-based holistic education beyond mere skill development. He explained how the human order realises its highest potential through coexistence with the physical order, bio order, and animal order in the universe, thereby contributing to sustainable and harmonious living.
Earlier, welcoming the participants, Director, ICSSR-NWRC and Patron of the FDP Prof. Upasna Joshi Sethi, highlighted the significance of Universal Human Values in day-to-day life and emphasized their role in promoting harmony, ethical conduct, and holistic development.
Prof. Shankar Sehgal, Coordinator of the FDP and Coordinator, UHV Cell, Panjab University, presented the Vote of Thanks. He expressed sincere gratitude to PU Vice Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig for her blessings, encouragement, and continuous support, and to Prof. Y. P. Verma, Registrar, for his motivation and guidance. He also thanked Prof. Upasna Joshi Sethi for her wholehearted support before, during, and after the FDP. Appreciation was extended to Prof. Manu Sharma (CIIPP), Dr. S. S. Rishi (Department of Youth Welfare), and Prof. Jayanti Dutta, Director, MMTTC, for their valuable cooperation and support.
