“I think we all carry some version of that– smiling on the outside, while there’s complete noise within”, Darsheel Safary on resonating with emotional duality in Amazon MX Player’s Gamerlog

Mumbai, June 23, 2025: What happens when gaming becomes more than just a game? Amazon’s free streaming platform, Amazon MX Player’s latest six-episodic series Gamerlog, explores the high-stakes world of e-sports through the lens of a young, dysfunctional team searching for their rhythm— both on the screen and in life. Set in a scrappy bootcamp in Mumbai, the show blends chaos, camaraderie, and quiet emotional moments as a team of misfit gamers train for a tournament that could change everything. Directed by Arya Deo, produced by Abhinay Deo, Gamerlog boasts a compelling cast featuring Darsheel Safary, Anjali Sivaraman, Chinmay Chandraunshuh, Kunal Bhan, Chetan Dhawan, Shubroy Chowdhury, and Akash Menon in pivotal roles

Reflecting on one of the most emotionally charged scenes from the series, where Raghu finally breaks down after holding it all in, Darsheel Safary shared, “There’s this moment where he just can’t keep it together anymore. And that hit home for me. I think we all carry some version of that— smiling on the outside, while there’s complete noise within. That emotional duality really resonated with me. Having grown up in front of the camera, I’ve felt the weight of public expectations while dealing with my own private battles. So there was a lot I could draw from that scene.”

He further added, “What truly helped me was the space Arya sir and Abhinay sir created on set. Their trust and the energy they brought, really allowed me to go inward and sit with those feelings. It was raw, but it was also real— and I’m grateful I got to put that into the scene. I honestly can’t wait for people to watch it as it’s one of those moments I’m most proud of.”

Get ready to dive into chaos and a rollercoaster of emotions as Gamerlog is now available for free exclusively on Amazon MX Player, available through its apps on mobile, Amazon’s shopping app, Prime Video, Fire TV, and Connected TVs.
