Greater Noida, March 2, 2026: On Monday, a grand Holi Milan Ceremony was organized at the School of Dental Sciences, Sharda University. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from community health workers, ASHA workers, village heads, and expert dental professionals of the institution. The objective of the program was to honour the invaluable contributions of grassroots health workers and local representatives who play a vital role in strengthening community health and public welfare.
During the event, participants extended warm Holi greetings and celebrated the spirit of the festival with love, harmony, and mutual respect. On this occasion, participants raised questions and also shared their suggestions, which were addressed by the public representatives in a highly positive, transparent, and authentic manner. Meaningful discussions were held on various community-related health issues, and practical solutions were proposed, further strengthening trust and cooperation among all stakeholders.
Dr. Swati Sharma, Professor, Department of Public Health Dentistry, School of Dental Sciences, honoured the ASHA workers and local representatives and stated, "ASHA workers and local representatives from the strong foundation of our community health system. Their dedication and grassroots efforts play an extremely important role in strengthening public health. We sincerely appreciate their contributions and reaffirm our commitment to continue organizing such interactive and community-oriented programs in the future, so that healthcare services can become more effective and people-centric."
In his address, Director Dr. Ajit Kumar highlighted the significant role of community health workers, stating that they act as a vital bridge between healthcare institutions and society. He appreciated their dedication, commitment, and tireless efforts toward public health.
The Dean of the School of Dental Sciences, Dr. Hemant, reiterated the institution’s commitment to community-oriented healthcare services. He assured continued support for preventive and promotive oral health programs and emphasized the institution’s resolve to deliver quality dental healthcare services to the last mile of society.
