Heroin, arms and ammunition recovered by CI Sleuths 

The Sleuths belonging to Counter Intelligence (CI) wing of Punjab Police busted a cross border narco network with the arrest of three smugglers following recovery of 5.4 kg heroin, two 7.65 MM China made pistols along with four magazines and a pistol slide in two separate operations.

Ferozepur, May 7, 2025: The Sleuths belonging to Counter Intelligence (CI) wing of Punjab Police busted a cross border narco network with the arrest of three smugglers following recovery of 5.4 kg heroin, two 7.65 MM China made pistols along with four magazines and a pistol slide in two separate operations. 

While divulging details, Gursewak Singh, AIG Counter Intelligence, said that following the inputs, a trap was laid at link road of Kotwal village near Government College at Mohkam Khan Wala village during which the accused identified as Sandeep Singh and Judge Singh, both residents of Kaamal Wala village, were nabbed. The AIG said that during the frisking, 465 gram heroin and two pistols (7.65 mm) with four magazines and a pistol slider, were recovered from their possession. 

The AIG said both the accused were going to deliver the consignment to someone on their bike (PB 05 R 3298). The accused had been booked under section 29 of NDPS Act and Section 25 of Arms Act at Kulgarhi police station. 

In second operation, following the inputs, the CI sleuths nabbed one Babbu Singh, a resident of Jallo ke village, which is situated near the international border and recovered 5 kg heroin from his agricultural fields in Bhakhra village. “The accused had been involved in smuggling of heroin and had links with Pakistani smugglers”, said AIG. 

The accused had been booked under sections 21 (C) and 29 of NDPS Act at Sadar police station.
