Guest Lecture on topic `How to Learn a Language?’

Jalandhar, October 28, 2021: A Guest Lecture was organised by the English Literary Society of the College on the topic "How to Learn a Language?" The speaker of the day was Dr. Charanjit Singh, Assistant Professor at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar. He threw a flood of light on child language acquisition, elucidated ways of mastering a language and familiarised students with phonetics, a branch of linguistics. He also maintained as to how language is paramount to socialization and culture. What one needs to grasp is the literary style that makes a language stand out from the rest.
The honourable members of the Managing Committee and Reverent Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Pooja Prashar lauded the endeavours of the  Head, Department of English, Mrs. Ujla Dada Joshi for organizing such constructive lectures. The organising Committee comprised Mrs. Aabroo Sharma, Mrs. Gurjit Kaur and Mrs. Ruby Bhagat.
It proved a resourceful session for the students who genuinely possess proclivity for language and literature and for others in general.
