Guest lecture on marketing strategies for achieving competitive advantage at GNA University

Jalandhar: GNA University organized a Guest Lecture on Marketing Strategies for Achieving Competitive Advantage for the budding students of of GNA Business School via the online platform of Blackboard Software. Mr. Tejdeep Singh Randhawa, GM- Business Development & Marketing, MediSync was the Resource person.

The lecture started with a warm welcome by Dr. Jagdeep Singh, Dean- GNA Business School. The main objective behind this virtual interactive session was to develop the acumen of the students towards the relevance of marketing strategies in enhancing organizational competitive advantage and sustainability.

Mr. Tejdeep Singh Randhawa started the session with the perspective that analysing consumers’ mindset is essential to understand the transitions taking place in the marketplace with respect to changes in macro and micro business environment. He talked about how COVID-19 has induced a shift in the thinking capacity of the consumers related to their decision making and purchase behaviour. 

The Resource person even discussed the various strategic marketing measures which the companies use to align themselves according to the consumers’ needs and wants. He purposefully talked about the need of synthesizing consumer experience to address the changing customer dynamics using meaningful engagement programmes. Subsequently, the resource person talked about the three layered Post COVID-19 business growth strategies and the priorities that the business managers must be well addressed in 2021 for enhancing the corporate sustainability.

On the whole, the session was fruitful for every student wherein they gathered a broader view into crafting successful marketing strategies for achieving competitive advantage. There was an active participation by the students in the session where many questions were raised by them. Mr. Tedeep Singh then had a one to one interaction with the students wherein many of their questions were answered. Thus, the lecture ended on an insightful note.
