Goonj Inaugural Ceremony and Tug of War at Panjab University

Chandigarh, March 13, 2024: Panjab University's UIET commenced its 3 days Annual Techno-Cultural Fest Goonj 2024, on Wednesday, with an electrifying Inaugural Ceremony followed by a friendly Tug-of-War between Teachers versus Students. 

Dignitaries including Prof. Sanjeev Puri, Director UIET, Prof. Amit Chauhan, DSW, and Prof. Shankar Sehgal, Goonj Incharge, gathered to seek almighty's blessings by lighting the lamp. The audience was encouraged to participate actively in the fest's events. The faculty-student tug of war exemplified the day's spirit, with faculty emerging victorious, demonstrating their remarkable teamwork and spirit. As a symbol of environmental consciousness, saplings were distributed to guests. The ceremony concluded with heartfelt addresses from Professors, Students and Guests, fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie among all the attendees. 

Later in the day, there were techno-cultural events held such as Hackathon, Nukkad natak, Kavi Sammelan, Group Dances, and Band Performances. Major attractions for second day, 14th March, will be Comedy Evening by Famous Comedian Parvinder Singh, Mr. and Miss Goonj, Bhangra Performances, ML Ware, CID and EDM Night.
