Glass Painting & Tie & Dye Workshop at GGNIMT
Fashion Design Department of Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management & Technology (GGNIMT), Ghumar Mandi, Ludhiana organized two workshops, one each on Glass Painting & Tie & Dye Art on Fabrics. The workshop was designed to introduce students and creative enthusiasts to the fundamentals of decorative art and textile surface ornamentation through an engaging and hands-on learning experience.
Ludhiana, July 16, 2026: Fashion Design Department of Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management & Technology (GGNIMT), Ghumar Mandi, Ludhiana organized two workshops, one each on Glass Painting & Tie & Dye Art on Fabrics. The workshop was designed to introduce students and creative enthusiasts to the fundamentals of decorative art and textile surface ornamentation through an engaging and hands-on learning experience.
During the workshop, participants explored the creative techniques of Glass Painting and Tie & Dye, also learning different methods of colour application, pattern creation, and fabric design. The sessions comprised practical demonstrations and guided hands-on activities, enabling the participants to transform ordinary glass articles and fabrics into beautiful, artistic creations. The workshop provided an excellent platform for beginners to develop their artistic abilities, enhance their confidence, and also discover the exciting world of creative design.
Prof. Gurleen Kaur, Head, Department of Fashion Design, conducted live demonstrations on variants of glass painting techniques, guiding participants through the creative process and helping them develop their artistic skills. Prof. Maganpreet Kaur introduced the participants to different Tie & Dye techniques, demonstrating a variety of fabric dyeing methods and patterns while encouraging them to experiment with colours and designs. This initiative was highly appreciated by the participant's and reflected GGNIMT's commitment to providing experiential learning opportunities that nurture creativity, innovation, and skill development among young learners.
Director, GGNIMT Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra hoped the workshop would inspire participants to further explore creative arts and design, helping them develop valuable artistic skills and encouraging them to pursue opportunities in the fields of fashion, design, and entrepreneurship. Principal GGNIMT Dr. Harpreet Singh appreciated the dedicated efforts of the Faculty of Department of Fashion Design for successfully organizing the workshop and providing an enriching learning experience for the participants.
