GIIS Nagpur Student secures 2nd place at DSO Taluka Level Athletics Competition 2025-26

James Bhonsle of Grade 8 qualifies for the Division Athletics Competition after a remarkable Taluka-level performance
Nagpur, October 08, 2025: Global Indian International School (GIIS), Nagpur is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of James Bhonsle, a Grade 8 student, who clinched 2nd place in the 400-Meter Race under 14 category at the District Sports Officer (DSO) Taluka Level Athletics Competition 2025-26, held recently at the University Ground Synthetic Track, Ravi Nagar, Nagpur. The competition brought together talented young athletes from across the taluka, serving as a showcase of skill, endurance, and sportsmanship among emerging sports talents.
James gave an impressive performance, completing the race in 1 minute and 6.56 seconds. His dedication, focus, and sportsmanship earned him a place in the upcoming Division Athletics Competition, marking a significant milestone in his athletic journey.
Speaking about his achievement, James Bhonsle said, “I am really proud and excited to represent my school at the Division level. This medal motivates me to train harder and keep improving. I am thankful to my coaches, teachers, and parents for always supporting me.”
