GGNIMT's Department of Hotel Management hosts Summer Delight – a hospitality workshop for +2 students
This two-day workshop focused on two key themes Mocktail Mastery and Creative Towel Origami. It aimed to develop core competencies in Housekeeping and Beverage Mixology, giving students practical exposure to careers in hospitality.
Ludhiana, July 15, 2026: This two-day workshop focused on two key themes Mocktail Mastery and Creative Towel Origami. It aimed to develop core competencies in Housekeeping and Beverage Mixology, giving students practical exposure to careers in hospitality.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Harpreet Singh, Principal, GGNIMT, who encouraged students to embrace continuous learning and skill development for a successful career. Prof. Shantimani Sathwara, Head, Department of Hotel Management welcomed the participants. She highlighted the essential skills set required to become successful hospitality professionals.
The sessions were conducted by faculty experts Asst. Prof. Smyle Dumra trained students in the Art of Professional Bed Making and Towel Art, as practiced in leading hotels. Prof. Honey Chawla GGNIMT Department of Hotel Management showcased Mocktail Mastery where students learned to prepare signature drinks like Pinemo Cosmo and Frozen Peach Bellini.
The workshop concluded with a valedictory address by Director GGN IMT Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra. He appreciated the faculty for organizing such an impactful and well-structured workshop. He advised the students to focus on experiential learning for skill development and long-term success in the hospitality industry.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and positive feedback from students, reflecting the growing interest in skill-based learning amongst the young aspirants.
