The young fashion designers of B.Sc Fashion Design of Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management & Technology (GGNIMT), Ghumar Mandi, Ludhiana and Fashion models from all across Punjab showed their costume creativity during Fashion Icons 2025.

Ludhiana, November 1, 2025: The young fashion designers of B.Sc Fashion Design of Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management & Technology (GGNIMT), Ghumar Mandi, Ludhiana and Fashion models from all across Punjab showed their costume creativity during Fashion Icons 2025.
The uniquely conceptualised fashion show on the theme Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat was under the aegis of the Department of Fashion Design. The event witnessed an enthusiastic participation of over 200 participants from across Punjab.
The event featured a vibrant series of ramp walk rounds, where participants showcased their confidence, elegance, and creativity in western, Indo-Western, and Traditional attires. Both boys and girls lit up the ramp with their energy and poise, creating an atmosphere full of glamour and innovation.
Adding to the grandeur, the students of BSc Fashion Design presented a special Fashion Show depicting the cultural essence of different Indian states. Authentic state-based attires representing Nagaland, Lucknow, Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Kerala were creatively designed and beautifully showcased, reflecting India’s cultural diversity through fashion.
Nivisha Jain, Creative Director, Neva Garments, Rajul Jain, Coordinator, Fashion Design, NIFT, Gaurav Sood, General Manager, Sudson Woollen Pvt. Ltd.), and Avi Gaba, a fashion designer constituted the judgement panel.
Harsharan Singh Narula, Honorary General Secretary, Gujranwala Khalsa Educational Council (GKEC) along with members of college management committee Arvinder Singh, Kuljit Singh, Baljit Singh graced the occasion with their presence.
The general secretary appreciated the faculty of the Department of Fashion Design, Prof. Gurleen Kaur (Head), Prof. Maganpreet Kaur and Prof. Rishita Sharma  for their guidance and  meticulous planning that ensured the event’s grand success. Their teamwork, creativity, and mentorship were evident in the quality of designs and confident performances of the students., he said further.
Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra presented bite of thanks. He said that the event provides professional platform to home the skills.
Dr. Harpreet Singh, Principal of the college welcomed the guests, participants and their parents on the event. Such events are important not only to entertain the audience rather they give an impetus to young students to perform as fashion designers and models, he said. He added that professional exposure helps them to be passionate in their profession of choice.
The event was elegantly anchored by Prof. Priya Arora, who kept the audience engaged with her lively narration and stage presence.
The evening concluded with the Valedictory Ceremony, felicitation of the judges, and crowning of the winners of Fashion Icons 2025.
