Free medical camp organised by PCTE Group of Institutes

Ludhiana: The students of the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Sciences and Pharmaceutical Sciences of PCTE Group of Institutes under the guidance of their faculty members organised a Free Medical Camp in association with Aykai Hospital and Sidhu Dental Clinic.

The camp witnessed 525 people from nearby villages, which also included students, faculty and staff members of the Institute who got themselves registered and availed the medical facilities. The patient’s availed the services of different medical specialties such as general medicine, orthopediatrics, and dentist. Along with the consultation of medical specialist, different diagnostic test and free medicines, diet consultation were provided to the people.

Dr Puneet Utreja, Director, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences said with these types of camps, give the students exposure on how to dispense the medicines and counsel the patients and added by saying that hands on experience like these will help the students to excel in their future prospects.

Dr. K.N.S Kang, Director General, said that good health always plays a crucial role in achieving our goals and this type of camps act as a precautionary measure to diagnose and treat various ailments. He further added by saying that the college always emphasis in providing practical knowledge to its students that’s the reason why PCTE students outshine in which ever field they get in.
