Foxhog Ventures & IIT Roorkee Join Forces to Propel PM’s Vision of Viksit Bharat

Roorkee, August 04, 2025: IIT Roorkee’s industry accelerator has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Foxhog Ventures India Limited, marking a significant milestone in industry-academia collaboration. This collaboration will advance sustainable innovation, rural development, gender equity, and the Prime Minister’s Vision of Viksit Bharat.

As part of this collaboration, Foxhog has committed INR 17 Crores under its CSR initiative to establish Integrative Advanced Manufacturing Setup (IAMS 4.0)—a cutting-edge, state-of-the-art facility focused on advancing technologies in the aerospace, defense, and agritech sectors with the Centre for Precision Manufacturing, AARTI at IIT Roorkee. A part of this funding will be dedicated as grants to early-stage startups focusing on sustainable, low-carbon industrial innovations. This initiative is closely aligned with key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals namely SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 13 (Climate Action) underscoring a collective commitment to building a sustainable, inclusive, and innovation-driven future. In addition, to further bolstering the growth and operational capabilities, the selected startups will be eligible to receive supplementary funding of INR. 25 Lakhs each from the CEO Fund of Foxhog Ventures.

Inspired by both organisations’ unwavering commitment to promoting female entrepreneurs in emerging technologies and fostering an equitable ecosystem this collaboration is a bold step towards realising the national vision of Nari Shakti and Atmanirbhar Bharat. Anchored in the spirit of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas, it aims to institutionalise inclusive innovation and drive transformative change across grassroots and high-tech sectors alike propelling India towards a more just, inclusive, and self-reliant future.
