For LPU’s fine arts students, this isn’t just an exhibition, it’s a bold platform for exposure, storytelling, and real-world artistic engagement

Jalandhar, May 7, 2025: In a powerful celebration of artistic expression and collaborative storytelling, Lovely Professional University’s School of Fine Arts has launched a first of its kind traveling art showcase; the “Echoes of Imagination” Chain Exhibition. More than just an art display, this moving exhibition transforms public spaces into vibrant galleries where creativity flows from city to city, connecting diverse audiences through a shared visual dialogue. After an inspiring debut at the Government Museum and Art Gallery in Chandigarh, the exhibition has captivated art lovers at Virsa Vihar in Jalandhar and is now set to leave its mark in Amritsar and Shimla. For LPU’s fine arts students, this isn’t just an exhibition; it’s a bold platform for exposure, storytelling, and real-world artistic engagement.
The exhibition featuring hundreds of student artists from all academic years, under the mentorship of 10 dedicated faculty members, the exhibition showcases a diverse array of artworks. The exhibit includes paintings, sculpture, printmaking, and photography, all open for public appreciation and purchase. This innovative initiative follows a unique “chain” concept, where each artwork flows into the next, either visually or conceptually. This thoughtful curation creates a narrative rhythm, allowing ideas to connect, evolve, and resonate with viewers.
The Chief Guest of the event, Col. Dr. Rashmi Mittal, Pro-Chancellor of LPU, alongside Dr. Sanjay Modi, Pro Vice-Chancellor toured the exhibition, interacted with the student artists, and explored the creative processes behind their works. Col. Dr. Rashmi Mittal commended the exhibition and the students, stating, “LPU deeply values the intersection of creative freedom and professional excellence. As artists, remember that true growth comes from stepping beyond these walls; engaging with the world, challenging your perspectives, and building networks in the creative community. Use this opportunity to learn from those who have paved the way before you and push the boundaries of your own creativity.”
Aaliyah Sethi, a first-year student, talking about her experience of exhibition shared, “My artwork ‘Dilemma’ not only received heartfelt appreciation here but has also been selected for display at the prestigious Lalit Kala Akademi exhibition. I never imagined such recognition this early in my journey. LPU truly offers us the platform to dream big and grow.”
Enriching the exhibition further, open workshops are being conducted by accomplished artists, including Calligraphy by Harish Verma, Freelance Artist, Doodling by Dr. Apoorva Lall, Assistant Professor, LPU, and Printmaking by Mausahm Raj, Freelance Artist. These sessions are designed to offer hands-on learning, spark creativity, and facilitate the exchange of ideas.
