Five-day sports trials began at Lyallpur Khalsa College

Jalandhar, July 12, 2022: Five-day sports trials began at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar to select the players for the season 2022-23. Welcoming the aspirant players, the college Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra encouraged them to appear trials with full sports spirit and dedication. He told the students to maintain sportsman spirit and added that college would provide them every possible facility. He also inspired the students by giving examples of player students of the college who  made a mark for themselves in the history of national and international sports.  He informed that on the first day  trials were held for Athletics, Basketball, Badminton, Swimming, Water Polo, Gymnastics, Archery, and on the second day trials in Hockey, Kho-Kho, Wrestling, Weightlifting, Pancake Silat, and Wushu were held, in which about 215 students participated.
On 13.07.2022 trials of Football, Karate, Cycling, Baseball, Kabaddi and Tennis, on 14.07.2022 Cricket, Boxing, Fencing, Judo, Rugby and Shooting, on 15.07.2022 trials of Handball, Rowing, Kayaking, Canoeing, Taekwondo and Volleyball will be held. 
Expressing his thanks on the occasion, Dr. S.S. Bains Dean Sports said that the aim of the department was not only to produce good players but also to inculcate life skills in the students so that they may become good players as well as good citizens. 
On this occasion Prof. Ajay Kumar, Harish and other staff members were also present.
