PCTE Students Shine at National Level SAFE Hackathon 2025

Ludhiana, August 23, 2025: Adding another feather to the cap of PCTE Group of Institutes, a team of B.Tech CSE (Batch 2022) students comprising Tirthesh Jain (Team Lead), Aniket Gupta, and Suraj Singh has brought laurels to the institute by securing the Second Prize along with a cash award of ₹3,00,000 at the prestigious SAFE (Secure and Aware Financial Education) Hackathon Series 2025. The event was organized by Punjab and Sind Bank under the initiative of the Ministry of Finance, Department of Financial Services, Government of India, aimed at promoting innovation in digital security and financial literacy across the public sector banking landscape.
The national-level hackathon, which is part of a large-scale initiative to boost innovation and awareness in financial security and digital literacy, witnessed participation from India’s top institutions and other renowned engineering colleges. The event aimed at encouraging young minds to develop robust digital solutions to promote safe and secure financial practices.
Competing against some of the brightest talent from across the country, Tirtesh Jain and his team's innovative project stood out, earning accolades from the jury and industry experts.
