FIRST ONLINE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON VEDIC KNOWLEDGE

Jalandhar: While the world today is battling with the biggest biological disasters of all times, institutions are putting their best foot forward in constructively utilizing ample time for their students and learners alike. Bearing in mind the notion that learning never ceases, PCM SD College for Women took a lead by organising an Online International Conference on 9th May, 2020 through digital platforms of Zoom and Google Meet. The chief guest of the Inaugural function will be Mr. Indresh Kumar, a Mardarshak of Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) and also a national executive of RSS. Shri Roop Kishore Shastri, Vice-Chancellor, Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar, Prof (Dr.) Kapil Kapoor, Chairman, Indian Institute of Advance Study, Shimla, Dr. Sudhir Jain, Professor in Sanskrit, JNU, Delhi, Shri Roshan Lal Arya,a thorough Arya Samajist, Dr. V. K Sharma, Professor in Computers, Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar, Mrs. Nirmal Pandi, Officer of Special Duty, GNDU Constituent College, Kishankot, Mrs. Veena Dada, Director St. Soldier Group of Institutions, Dr. Lakhwinder Gill, Deputy Director, DPI Colleges, Punjab and Dr. Uppal, Former Principal, D M College, Moga will be the speakers for the day. The topic of the conference is 'Vedic Knowledge: The Highest Contribution of Aryavarta to the World'. The objective of the conference is to bring an awakening among the general public towards our rich literary reservoirs with its ever-so culturally diverse expanse and their relevance in the contemporary world. A variety of topics are going to be touched within the ambit of the Vedas. About 75 participants will be a part of the conference. Ravinder Kumar (Canada), Himanshi Raizada (USA), Muskan Kapoor (Nepal), Khum Prasad Sharma (Bhutan) are some of the international participants. The chief guest for the Valedictory session will be Shri Satyapal, Chancellor, Gurukul Kangri Vidwavidyalaya, Haridwar and a member of BJP. The college has provided a great platform for result-driven deliberations.
