Mohali, March 12, 2026: CGC University Mohali successfully conducted the inaugural meeting of its Governing Body on campus. This significant meeting marks an important milestone in the institution’s development and reaffirms the university’s commitment to academic excellence, strategic foresight, and exemplary governance.
The meeting was chaired by the Chancellor of CGC University, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal. The Managing Director of the university, Arsh Dhaliwal, was also specially present. Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Vinay Goel formally welcomed the esteemed members of the Governing Body and presented the university report, which provided detailed information about academic progress, administrative structure, and the institution’s long-term development roadmap.
In his address, Chancellor Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal said that the first meeting of the Governing Body is a very important moment in the university’s progressive journey. Our main objective is to maintain transparent administration, principled leadership, and continuous excellence in higher education. A strong governance framework forms the foundation of academic credibility and transformative development.
Managing Director Arsh Dhaliwal said that CGC University is being developed as a global-level institution where research, innovation, and industry-academia collaboration are given priority. The strategic recommendations of the Governing Body will help prepare students to face global challenges.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on curriculum modernization, accelerating research activities, international collaborations, and expansion of campus infrastructure. Special emphasis was also laid on strengthening start-up incubation, digital integration, and outcome-based education. At the end, Prof. (Dr.) Anupam Sharma, Registrar-cum-Pro Vice Chancellor (Examinations), expressed gratitude to the members of the Governing Body for their valuable guidance and support.
