Finding Balance, Building Strength: PAMETIs training for women extension functionaries concludes
Punjab Agricultural Management & Extension Training Institute (PAMETI), PAU Campus, Ludhiana, organized a three-day training programme on “Work–Life Balance for Women Extension Functionaries” from 14th to 16th October. In total, 25 women officers from different state departments participated in this training.

Ludhiana, October 17, 2025: Punjab Agricultural Management & Extension Training Institute (PAMETI), PAU Campus, Ludhiana, organized a three-day training programme on “Work–Life Balance for Women Extension Functionaries” from 14th to 16th October. In total, 25 women officers from different state departments participated in this training.
During the inaugural address, Dr. K.B. Singh, Director, PAMETI revealed the objectives of training and importance of learning art of balancing personal and professional life. Dr. Rupinder Kaur, Deputy Director (HRM), PAMETI coordinated the training and revealed that the programme aimed to help women extension officers to enhance their overall well-being, and maintain a healthy balance between professional and personal life.
Over the course of the three days, various experts shared their insights through interactive. Dr. Vishal Bector, Associate Director (Industrial Linkages), PAU, spoke on “Work–Life Balance: Improving Quality of Life”, while Dr. D. S. Ladhar, Retired Professor (Extension), highlighted the “Power of Positive Thinking”.
Rachna Gupta and Shweta Sharma from Swami Vivekanand Meditation Pyramid, Ludhiana conducted a refreshing session on “Recharge Yourself: Breathe and Balance” followed by meditation practices. Dr. Pretty Bhalla from Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, delivered an engaging session on “Breaking Free from Overthinking Traps”.
On the final day, Dr. Simrat Kathuria, a well-known dietician and TEDx speaker from Ludhiana, guided participants on “Nutritional Advice for Physical and Mental Health”. Dr. Gulneet Chahal, Assistant Director (Publications), PAU, spoke about “Setting Priorities and Finding Time for Self”,
The training concluded with discussions on action plans to apply the learning in participants’ workplaces. Participants appreciated PAMETI’s initiative for organizing such a thoughtful programme that addressed the emotional, physical, and social dimensions of women’s work-life challenges.
