Fifth Dham to come up in Cambodia: Guruji Kumaran Swami

Chandigarh, May 22, 2022: Interacting with the media persons at Chandigarh Press Club today, Guruji Kumaran Swami said a 240-feet-tall statue of Lord Shiva is  coming up in Cambodia and is going to cost Rs 5000 crore. The four shrines of Hindu religion’s chaar dham pilgrimage are in Dwarka, Badrinath, Jagannath Puri and Rameshwaram in India, and now, the fifth one is going to come up in Cambodia.

He added the upcoming shrine in Cambodia will play an important role in promoting and propagating Hindu religion in eastern Asia.  

Guruji Kumaran Swami is head in the trust that's looking after construction of  the Hindu holy shrine. He was the one who said that the cost of construction will be more than Rs 5000 crore. Apart from having the 240-feet-tall statue of Lord Shiva, the shrine will also have idols of Lord Ganesha and Lord Buddha. 

He said that the foundation stone of the fifth Dham had been laid and people from all over the world are now going to start the journey to this place.

He said he is trying to give equal status to daughters in real sense with the powerful acting of Swami Kumaran Swamy's daughter Yamini in the film titled Badhai Ho Beti Hui Hai.  

For the first time, work has started under a scheme for the spread of Indian culture and religion abroad. The Dham going to be established in Cambodia is part of this chain. He said that after this big centers related to Hinduism and culture would be established in other parts of the world as well.
