FICO meets DC Ludhiana regarding Infrastructural Upgradation of Focal Points in Ludhiana

Ludhiana, August 26, 2017: Delegation of FICO thanked Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana for demanding 225 Crores from Government of Punjab, for upgradation of Industrial Focal Points & Industrial Areas.

The Roads and sewerage in the Ludhiana especially Focal Points are in very bad condition and we feel ashamed to bring our domestic customers as well as foreign customers to our factories through these roads. Moreover, Female staff and Workers are showing reluctance in joining Industries established in focal points, as they feel unsafe due to poor Roads and Infrastructure. These roads need to be repaired and re carpeted on war footing and sewerage lines be upgraded to avoid water logging in general and specially in rainy days. Focal points’ and Industrial Areas’ generate huge amount of revenue in form of GST, water cess, sewage cess, property tax. But the development of a few points is not up to the mark

FICO suggested that 6 membered committee of FICO will prioritize the work of district administration under the able guidance of Sh. Pardeep Aggarwal (IAS) Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana. FICO wants to help the Administration to develop Ludhiana to a modernized smart city. Sh. Subhash Lakra Patron FICO will head the six members committee comprising Sh. Rajeev Jain, Sh. Gurmeet Singh Kular, S. Hardeep Singh Plaha, S. Sohan Singh Goga Councillor, S. Satnam Singh Makkar.

FICO has already beautified and upgraded Vardhaman Chowk on Chandigarh Road, in Ludhiana with the help of M/s Vardhaman Textiles Limited. Also FICO has adopted Vishwakarma Park in Industrial Area B, and will present it making one of the model park in Punjab.

FICO offered DC for another voluntary work under Corporate Social Responsibility for Ludhiana, and proposed to make another under bridge opposite Dhandari Railway Station on G.T. Road, to make traffic flow smooth in the city. Also FICO suggested there should be a Sewerage on GT Road from Ludhiana to New Delhi side, which encourages the water logging especially in rainy seasons.
