Exploring Tribal Heritage: Artistic Pot Decoration Unveiled

Jalandhar, August 11, 2023: The Heritage Club of DRV DAV Centenary Public School Phillaur organised an engaging activity that involved the decoration of pots with tribal motifs using paints.

Extending the efforts of the ongoing Awareness Programme, on Tribal Empowerment, which is being conducted under the umbrella of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration, organized in collaboration with the Government's Ministry Programme and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), on 11th Aug, 2023, the Heritage Club organized an engaging activity that involved the decoration of pots with tribal motifs using paints. This activity was chosen to symbolize the artistic talents and cultural identity of tribal groups across the country.

The students displayed a remarkable level of creativity and dedication throughout the event. They meticulously painted intricate tribal designs on the pots, incorporating elements that represented the diversity and vibrancy of various tribal cultures. The activity not only allowed the students to express themselves artistically but also served as a platform for learning about the rich history and heritage of our tribal communities.

Principal, Dr Yogesh Gambhir encouraged students to continue efforts in promoting awareness and understanding of tribal empowerment as an integral part of our national identity.
