Double Chandni, mango, and gulmohar trees planted in PU Hostels
A “Tree Plantation Drive” was organised today by Dr. Anju Goyal (Warden, GH-1) and Dr. Papiya Mukherjee (Warden, GH-2) in Mata Gujri Hall (GH-1) and Laxmi Bai Hall (GH-2). Double Chandni, mango, and gulmohar trees were planted in the hostels to raise awareness and consciousness about the environment among the residents.

Chandigarh, July 18, 2025: A “Tree Plantation Drive” was organised today by Dr. Anju Goyal (Warden, GH-1) and Dr. Papiya Mukherjee (Warden, GH-2) in Mata Gujri Hall (GH-1) and Laxmi Bai Hall (GH-2). Double Chandni, mango, and gulmohar trees were planted in the hostels to raise awareness and consciousness about the environment among the residents, according to a press release issued by Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Prof. Amit Chauhan, Dean Student Welfare (Men), Prof. Namita Gupta Dean Student Welfare (Women), Dr. Naresh Kumar, Associate DSW, Dr. Anju Goyal, Dr. Papiya Mukherjee, along with other wardens, residents, and staff members also participated enthusiastically in the plantation drive.
The drive was a great success, empowering all participants with meaningful knowledge about the environment and the importance of trees.
