Expert lecture on “Learning Geography from Movies”

Chandigarh, March 4, 2024: Institute of Social Sciences Education and Research (ISSER), P.U. successfully organized an expert lecture on “Learning Geography from Movies” today.

Prof. Gaurav Kalotra, Department of Geography, was the key speaker for the session where he through various videos and movies explained the significance of learning geography through movies.

Prof. touched on various topics of importance in geography like ‘temporal studies’, ‘land use and land cover areas’ and how the concepts of glaciers, mountain landscape, Grand Canyon, plateaus, sand dunes, river meanders, waterfall potholes and many others could be easily understood through movies.
