Jalandhar, May 7, 2014: In order to reach out to Ex-Servicemen, their dependents and Veer Naris, Army took several welfare measures as to ensure speedy and timely help in terms of various problems being faced by them and their NOKs. The aim of this scheme is to provide a single window service to the Ex-Servicemen to register their complaints on various issues like Pension, ECHS and Re-settlement etc.
As part of this welfare scheme, an Ex-Servicemen Sahayta Kendra was inaugurated at Jalandhar in the first phase alongwith other cities like Amritsar, Gurdaspur and Hamirpur in HP.
All these kendras have now been operationalised. In the second phase four kendras would be established in Ferozepur, Kapurthala, Beas and Ludhiana. This would cover almost the entire geographical area of the formation.
The mechanism known as the Ex-Servicemen Sahayta Kendra has been established with the main objective of having a proactive interface between the Ex-Servicemen and various grievances cells.
All Ex-Servicemen Sahayta Kendras have been linked with a Toll Free number and e-mail address. The Ex-Servicemen of Jalandhar district can lodge their complaints on Toll Free No 1800-1802355 or email on [email protected] or by visiting the Sahayta Kendras personally.
