Punjab issues fresh instructions for payment of GP Fund

Chandigarh, December 19, 2014: The Punjab has issued fresh instructions regarding the payment of GP fund to provide much needed relief to the government employees.

Disclosing this here today a spokesperson said that any employee who has filed an appeal in the court of law against his dismissal from service and who has yet not attained the superannuation age from his service, these employees would now be eligible to get the non-refundable advance payment from his/her GP fund.

He further said that in case the employee  has attained his superannuation age prior to the decision by the Court on his suspension, the employee would be eligible to get the GP fund as per service rules. He said that in such cases before releasing the GP fund an affidavit from the employee must be obtained mentioning that he/she would claim extension in service after winning the court case.
