Elderly man killed inside Delhi home

New Delhi, July 22 (IANS) A 75-year-old man was Tuesday found lying in a pool of blood with his throat slit inside his house here, police said.

Kashi Ram was found by his daughter-in-law inside his Mansarovar Park residence in east Delhi around 5.30 a.m.

She raised an alarm and the other family members informed police.

Police said the man's throat was slit with a sharp-edged weapon.

They have registered a case, but were yet to ascertain the reason or motive behind the murder.

The man's younger son Joginder had spoken to him for the last time around 4 a.m.

"He was killed between 4 a.m. and 5.30 a.m.," said a police official.

An initial inquiry revealed that the man's son had a heated argument over some issue with people staying near his house.

"We are looking into the matter whether someone killed Kashi Ram to take revenge from his son," said the official.
