Education Minister Inaugurates 400 KW Solar Power Plant at DLC SUPVA
Haryana Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda inaugurated a solar power plant in Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (SUPVA), Rohtak on Thursday. He inaugurated the rooftop solar power plant in the SUPVA campus before attending the Saang Samagam.
Rohtak, January 22, 2026: Haryana Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda inaugurated a solar power plant in Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (SUPVA), Rohtak on Thursday. He inaugurated the rooftop solar power plant in the SUPVA campus before attending the Saang Samagam.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya said that a 400 Kilo Watt on-grid rooftop solar power plant has been installed at the varsity with a cost of approx. Rs. 1.5 crore. The university aims to promote green energy. The solar plant will generate approximately 48,000 units of electricity every month, which will provide significant relief in electricity bills. It is estimated that this solar plant will reduce the annual electricity bill by Rs. 40 Lakh.
VC Dr. Arya said that the use of green energy does not emit carbon dioxide. Solar power plants are considered an excellent source of energy. Through this solar plant, SUPVA will fulfill its role in protecting the environment and contribute to reducing global warming. Former Minister Manish Grover, MD LPS BOSSARD Rajesh Jain, Registrar Dr. Gunjan Malik Manocha, and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
