Dr. Simran Preet Awarded ANRF International Travel Grant
Dr. Simran Preet, Associate Professor, Department of Biophysics, Panjab University, Chandigarh has been awarded the prestigious ANRF International Travel Grant. Dr. Preet will be representing Panjab University at IMAP-2025, an international conference on Antimicrobial Peptides, to be held in Dublin, Ireland. Her research on antimicrobial peptides addresses urgent global challenges in combating antibiotic resistance and is pertinent to advances in Medical Research.

Chandigarh, 6 August 2025: Dr. Simran Preet, Associate Professor, Department of Biophysics, Panjab University, Chandigarh has been awarded the prestigious ANRF International Travel Grant. Dr. Preet will be representing Panjab University at IMAP-2025, an international conference on Antimicrobial Peptides, to be held in Dublin, Ireland. Her research on antimicrobial peptides addresses urgent global challenges in combating antibiotic resistance and is pertinent to advances in Medical Research.
The highly competitive grant which covers her air travel, visa fee and conference registration is a recognition of her seminal contributions to the present research domain.
"The grant will provide me an opportunity to strengthen Panjab University's research reputation as I share my research globally and collaborate with fellow scientists, said Dr. Preet.
