Chandigarh, 15 May 2025: Dr. Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences & Hospital, in collaboration with the World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO), today participated in World Orthodontic Health Day (WOHD). This annual global event highlights the importance of orthodontic care and its benefits—ranging from improved oral function to greater self-confidence.
This year’s WOHD theme, “A World of Smiles,” underscores the transformative power of healthy, well-aligned teeth and how they contribute to overall health and well-being.
“World Orthodontic Health Day offers a unique opportunity for our students, faculty, and the broader community to discover the impact of orthodontics on everyday life,” said Dr. Deepak Kumar Gupta, Principal cum Professor and HOD, Department of Orthodontics at Dr. Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences & Hospital. “It’s not just about straightening teeth—it’s about enhancing quality of life, boosting self-esteem, and promoting lifelong oral health.”
During the WOHD celebrations, Dr. Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences & Hospital offered Distribution of oral hygiene kits to promote awareness about the importance of maintaining good oral health. It included essentials like toothbrush and toothpaste symbolising tangible step towards empowering individual with the tools they need for effective oral care.
