Dolphin PG College, marked the 79th Independence Day of India with immense pride and enthusiasm at its campus. The occasion was graced by Dr. Vinod Mittal, Chairman; Dr. Veena Mittal, Managing Director; and Er. Vibhav Mittal, Vice Chairman, as the esteemed Chief Guests. Over 250 students and staff members gathered to honor the nation’s freedom.

Mohali, August 15, 2025: Dolphin PG College, marked the 79th Independence Day of India with immense pride and enthusiasm at its campus. The occasion was graced by Dr. Vinod Mittal, Chairman; Dr. Veena Mittal, Managing Director; and Er. Vibhav Mittal, Vice Chairman, as the esteemed Chief Guests. Over 250 students and staff members gathered to honor the nation’s freedom.
The celebration began with the ceremonial unfurling of the National Flag, followed by a disciplined drill parade in which students, dignitaries, and attendees paid respectful homage to the Tricolour. As a symbolic gesture of freedom and peace, five pigeons and a vibrant bunch of 300 balloons were released into the open sky, signifying the spirit of independence and aspirations for a progressive nation.
In his keynote address, Dr. Malkit Singh Bawa, Dean Academics, shared an inspiring vision for the institution’s growth and progress. He expressed gratitude to the college management for their visionary leadership and commitment to aligning the institution’s development with the national vision of Naya Bharat – Viksit Bharat. He further acknowledged the dedication and teamwork of the teaching faculty, office staff, and non-teaching personnel in the holistic advancement of the college. Students infused the celebration with patriotic fervor through moving renditions of national songs. The Chief Guests also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of unity, service, and nation-building.
The program concluded with the distribution of sweets, symbolizing joy and togetherness. The event not only commemorated the sacrifices of the freedom fighters but also reinforced the values of freedom, unity, dedication, and progress that form the foundation of Dolphin PG College’s mission.
